I’m a paid-up member of the Tim Ferriss fan club, so I found this a difficult read. But a useful one.

For me, the 4-Hour Work Week kicked off a fascination with productivity and efficiency that I’m grateful for. I never thought 4 hours was a realistic goal, but equally it didn’t occur to me how such a lifestyle is dependent on others less fortunate.

As another commenter says, this leaves me thinking what to aspire to. If a comfortable life rests on the shoulders of the poor, then is it immoral to do anything other than live slightly above the breadline and pump my wealth back into community projects?

How much do I leave my kids? Is a pension a sensible thing?

These are not facetious questions, but things I’m genuinely pondering now.
